Attention Stance - Charyot Sogi.

This is the attention position used before and after class. The legs are straight, with the ankles touching and the toes apart, the feet are pointing straight ahead. The arms and hands are held flat to the sides of the body.

 

Ready StanceJunbi Sogi

Ready Stance refers to the most common ready position used in Tae Kwon Do training. Ready Stance is performed by standing with the feet one shoulder length apart, measured from the outside edge (Foot Sword) of the feet, with arms slightly bent and loosely held fists about one fist size apart just below the navel and the fists should be a fist size away from the body. Muscles are relaxed to promote movement speed from this position. This stance and its variants are most often used at the start of pattens. The student should be alert and aware, inhale and breathe out 1/3 of the air in your lungs.

 

Walking StanceGunnun Sogi.

Front foot is facing forward, rear foot is on a 15° angle from the front. Feet should be one shoulder width apart and one and a half to two shoulder widths in length. The front leg, bends at the knee and the rear leg is straight. 50% of your weight is on each leg.

 

Parallel Stance- Narani Sogi.  Sitting Stance- Annun Sogi.  Long Walking Stance- Natcho Sogi.

L Stance- Niunja Sogi.  Long L (Fixed Stance)- Gojung Sogi.  X Stance- Kyocha Sogi.

Close Ready (A,B,C)- Mao Junbi. Sogi (A,B,C).  Bending Ready Stance- Guburyo Sogi.

Rear Foot Stance- Dwit Bal Sogi.  Vertical Stance- Soojik Sogi.  Diagonal Stance- Sasun Sogi.

One Leg Stance- Waebal Sogi.
